Moving to a Normal Housing Market

In a normal market, neither a buyer nor seller does not have an advantage over the other. The market has shifted from a seller’s market to a more balanced market with more homes coming on the market and fewer buyers financially able to purchase. For buyers – there are more homes on the market to consider, less urgency to act immediately, appraisal and inspection contingencies are not waived, and fewer bidding wars. For sellers – homes in beautiful condition and priced right will still sell quickly while homes that need updating or are overpriced will linger on the market. Sellers may need to consider making repairs or concessions from the home inspection, and home sale contingencies are returning.
